About me:

My name is Gerhard Schmieder from Schonach in the Black Forest, gown up in the middle of the Black Forest cuckoo clock production. In 1978, at the age of 16, I started my apprenticeship as a wood carver at a local cuckoo clock company and passed the journeyman's examination in 1981. Since there was a cuckoo clock and wall clock factory in my neighborhood, I was familiar with Black Forest clocks already as a child and i was interested in wood carving from an early age. In 1989 I successfully completed the master craftsman's examination in wood carving. Until 2006 I worked as a master at a local cuckoo clock wall and grandfather clock company. In 2005 I started my own business (at first as a small business) with exclusive and unique cuckoo clocks designed by myself, the case of which is also made of solid wood. In the same year we (clockmaker, carpenter and wood carver) founded the MCC Club (MasterCarvers Club), in which the high quality, exclusiveness and handicraft of every Clock are top priority and thus every single Clock we pruduce is unique. this means - no ass production !! I also coporate with Oliver Zinapold owner of Olis Schnitzerstube in 78098 Triberg in the Black Forest. you can take a look at my range of Cuckoo Clocks and all MCC Clocks either at my workshop ore in Olis Schnitzstube, and of course you can buy them.

Furthermore, I also provide well-known manufacturers of the cuckoo clock industry in Titisee-Neustadt and in the Schonach and Triberg area with my small "one-man-business" with carvings for the clock industry, because fortunately they still appreciate the craftsmanship and artistic quality from the specialist and thereby support the declining number of rare local wood carvers and sculptors.
